BROWNING.COM 37 VARI-TECH STOCK Highlighting the X-Bolt 2 is the new Vari-Tech composite stock. This imaginative design offers a new level of customization with industry-leading, three-way adjustment that adapts the rifle to the shooters body and unique shooting needs. As custom rifle shooters know, correct stock fit increases shooting comfort, improves accuracy, controls felt recoil, and optimizes handling. Vari-Tech does all this without sacrificing the timeless appearance of a traditional hunting stock. CUSTOM RIFLE FIT. NEW ADJUSTABLE COMB Correct eye-to-scope alignment is critical as it reduces parallax error to get on target faster. With optics getting larger and many shooters using taller Picatinny-style optic rails, this critical measurement can be difficult to achieve on a rifle stock that uses a straight, non-adjustable comb, often needing an accessory cheek pad to achieve alignment. The Vari-Tech stock features a rock-solid comb that is easy to use, offers 1" of height adjustment, and allows for perfect alignment with optics. RUBBER OVERMOLDING Rubber overmolding on the grip and fore-end make a secure hold on the rifle possible in tough weather conditions or with sweaty hands. INFLEX RECOIL PAD A soft Inflex recoil pad features internal directional ribs that move the comb down and away from the cheek to increase shooting comfort. A thicker, 1-1/4" thick pad for an even greater reduction in felt recoil is standard. A 1" thick pad is also available to reduce length of pull. FREE-FLOATING BARREL The action is bedded at the front and rear action screws and recoil lug for a true free-floating barrel. ADD ACCESSORIES Additional mounting holes in the fore-end of the Vari-Tech stock can be drilled out to add a Picatinny or ARCA/Swiss rail. ADJUSTABLE LENGTH OF PULL The Vari-Tech stock was developed to optimize the interface between the rifle and every shooter. Length of pull (LOP) is set at the factory at 13-5/8" (12-7/8" on the Micro Composite). LOP is easily adjustable in 1/4" increments using the four included spacers for a 1" adjustment range from the box. A 1" thick recoil pad can also be ordered to replace the 1-1/4" thick pad. The adjustment spacers fit inside the stock for improved appearance and provide secure, rattle-free performance. INTERCHANGEABLE GRIP MODULES Grip angle is also a factor in accuracy as it relates to comfort, finger reach to the trigger, and even speed to the trigger. Two easy-to-swap grip modules are available for the Vari-Tech stock: Sporter and Vertical. X-Bolt 2 hunting rifles ship with the curved, sporter style grip installed and include the vertical grip in the box. X-Bolt 2 long range rifles ship with the vertical grip installed and include the sporter style grip in the box. Target models only include the vertical grip.
